2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 RAMI Award Winning Band Shifty Shafer Consists of 5 unique and talented professional musicians, and present a dynamic showcase that includes mega-hits of that great era of the 70s, and 80s the 90s and 2000s. Recreating the sounds which easily transcend the musical boundaries of Rock and Roll with today’s Rock and Roll Hits. Finally, audiences can once again experience the live energy and non-stop dance floor excitement of this timeless music.

With Instruments that include Bass Guitar, Drums, and Guitars. Vocals include 2 & 3 Part Vocal Harmonies. Shifty Shafer will blow you away every time you see them. Shifty Shafer has played throughout the Midwest for Clubs, Private Parties, Weddings, Festivals, and Hot Spots all over the Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin Area with rave reviews–all the while making new fans with an overwhelming response wherever they perform.

Jerry Young joined the band in March of 2013 and brings over 30 years of experience. Jerry has played with Night Owl, Renegade Rose, The After Dark Band, and many other top local bands.





Billy Riddle is from the Rockford Illinois area, born and raised. He’s been playing guitar in rock bands for longer than he cares to admit.  Bill decided to put together a band that he believed would surpass all the rest and had to look no further than his old friends – he insists that they just happen to be the most talented musicians he  has ever played with.  That band is now known as Shifty Shafer.

Rick Aronica started playing bass guitar at 6-years-old, and then began picking up his older brother’s guitar. After that he decided that would be his main instrument. Rick has played in many area Bands. Some of the bands included Mirage, Niteowl, Paradise Alley, Blue Steel, Centerfold, After Dark, and Renegade Rose. One of Rick’s Influences was Angus Young. “When I first heard AC/DC they just blew me away! Angus’s Blues and Hard Driving Rock n Roll Style Guitar Playing, and Bon Scotts amazing Blues Rock Vocals just blew me away. From that point on I was hooked!”
